Business Search & Report (November / December 2025)

We will initially add VAT numbers and VAT registration details within the API responses and this will be later followed by the addition of searching by VAT number.

Coming Soon
Equifax UK launch of the Sustainability Metrics API (December 2025 / January 2026)

This API delivers new real-time solution designed to help financial institutions automate the measurement of financed emissions (Scope 3.15) and withstand increasing regulatory scrutiny. It delivers instant, PCAF-aligned calculations directly into lending workflows, replacing "black box" estimates with transparent, audit-grade data lineage via a dedicated Audit Endpoint. By blending Equifax’s commercial data with CienDos’ environmental insights, we empower lenders to meet strict UK SRS and IFRS S2 standards while eliminating the manual burden of data gathering. With a market first giving clients real time access to their absolute emissions.

Coming Soon
Business Search & Report (December 2025 / January 2026)

We are pleased to announce that the Business Search & Report service will offer Persons of Significant Control information within the API response. Clients interested in taking this data from Equifax can speak to their account manager about getting this enabled early in 2026.

Coming Soon
Business (Portfolio) Monitoring (January 2026)

We are pleased to also announce that, alongside the Business Search & Report changes for Persons of Significant Control changes, we will additionally offer monitoring alerts for a change to a Person of Significant Control. Clients interested in taking advantage of this service can speak to their account manager to add this access in early 2026.

New Functionalities

Token Caching (2nd December 2024)

We're changing the token authentication processes used for all System to System Services to implement caching. The change will be to reuse the access_token for a period of 1 hour; instead of always calling our internal authentication endpoint every time. If you currently do not cache your authentication token (otherwise known as access_token) or use the expiry time tag provided in the Equifax response message to cache the authentication code, then no further action is required of you. If you currently have caching enabled that uses a blanket timeframe then please amend this to use the expiry time tag provided in the Equifax response message.
